Clinical Requirements
Immunization Requirements
Students and faculty must comply with the requirements of clinical facilities (on and off-campus) regarding immunizations.
Clinical students and faculty in positions likely to place them (or the population served) at risk for exposure to infectious diseases must provide documentation of all required immunizations prior to clinical placement. If such documentation cannot be provided, the student or faculty member must receive the appropriate vaccination(s), titer(s), or tuberculin skin test(s).
Proof of immunity is mandated with rare exceptions, and only if there is a documented medical reason such as pregnancy, allergy, or a life-threatening reaction.
Immunization requirements for each curriculum program are given to students by the Health Sciences Clinical Compliance Administrator, after they have been conditionally accepted into the clinical portion of their program of study.
