Student Success Coaches promote a positive and successful learning experience for students so they can achieve their educational and career goals.
Every new Wake Tech student is assigned a coach to help them navigate the college’s processes, as well as academic challenges and personal needs. Coaches talk with students before the start of classes and remain in contact throughout their first semester. After that, coaches are available for guidance as needed.
Coaches work one-on-one with students, providing guidance based on their individual strengths, study skills, level of engagement, past performance and academic plans and goals. They encourage achievement of goals through self-assessment, reflection and connection to campus and community resources.
Students who do not have a coach may request one by emailing [email protected].
