Wake Tech provides an array of perks to employees, from free courses to support programs to discounts.
Education benefits
All full-time employees are eligible to take one degree or non-degree course tuition-free each semester. Employees are responsible for the cost of books, supplies and applicable fees. The Wake Tech Foundation also provides up to $3,000 a year in tuition assistance to employees to advance in their careers.
Employee Assistance Program
The EAP provides counseling and support for employees struggling on the job or at home. Immediate family members also can use the program.
Banking
Employees are eligible for membership in the State Employees' Credit Union or Coastal Federal Credit Union.
SEANC
Employees can join the State Employees Association of North Carolina, which works to protect and improve benefits for state workers and retirees. SEANC also offers benefits from education scholarships to member discounts to low-cost insurance options.
Discounts
Buy everything from furnishings to apparel to gifts at a discount through WeSave, an online service provided to state and local government employees. Some local retailers also offer discounts to Wake Tech employees.
