State Health Plan
Choose between the lower premiums in the state's 70/30 plan and lower out-of-pockets costs in the 80/20 plan for employees, couples and families. Both options offer the same network of providers across North Carolina.
Flexible spending accounts
Use pre-tax dollars to pay for some health care costs, such as copays, deductibles, prescriptions and over-the-counter supplies, or child care costs, such as day care, after-school care and summer camps.
Life insurance
Wake Tech provides life insurance equal to an employee's annual salary at no cost to the employee. Employees can purchase further protection for their families through a group term life policy.
Disability insurance
Wake Tech provides disability coverage to full-time employees at no cost to the employee. Short-term benefits begin after a 60-day waiting period and continue for up to a year. Long-term benefits begin after that. Employees also can purchase supplemental disability coverage.
