Wake Tech closed for Thanksgiving

Wake Tech is closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Prospective students can still apply online, and current students can register for Spring semester classes. All classes will resume and offices will reopen on Monday morning.

The popular Rube Goldberg Machine Competition sparks creativity and teamwork among Associate in Engineering students.

Wake Tech Community College is celebrating two decades of transfer options for students. Wake Tech hosted a reception tonight on Main Campus to mark the 20th anniversary of the College/University Transfer program. The event featured a dessert reception, special tributes, and music from the Wake Tech Chorus.

An enthusiastic crowd cheered at the first pep rally in Wake Tech's new gym today. Athletes, students, faculty and staff members dressed in the school colors of blue and gold for the event which helped kick off the men's and women's basketball seasons. The name of the college's mascot was also revealed.

New Wake Tech Scholarship Honors President

Wake Technical Community College has a new scholarship program focused on leadership, vision and community service. Raleigh residents Mark and Rachel Selisker have donated $25,000 to launch the Stephen C. Scott Presidential Scholars Program, named after the college president.

Mort Congleton, Wake Tech's Vice President of Development and Executive Director of the Wake Tech Foundation, has been named president-elect of the Board of Directors of the. Council for Resource Development (CRD) in Washington, D.C. CRD supports more than 700 community colleges across the U.S. by developing leaders through education, advocacy, and mentoring.

Wake Tech's New Gymnasium Hosts First Game

Let the games begin! Wake Tech welcomed the sights and sounds of college sports to campus this week for the first time in its 50-year history. The college renovated its Early Childhood Education Building on Main Campus, adding a physical education wing that includes a 17,000-square-foot gymnasium.
