Wake Tech Announces New Partnership with Saint Augustine’s University

RALEIGH, N.C. (August 23, 2012) – Wake Tech graduates with associate’s degrees in Business Administration or Criminal Justice Technology have a new avenue for pursuing four-year degrees. A new partnership with Saint Augustine’s University guarantees admission for Wake Tech AAS (Associate in Applied Science) graduates seeking a BS in Business Administration or Criminal Justice. The program will accept up to 60 credit hours from the AAS degree toward a BS in Business Administration, and up to 63 credit hours from the AAS in Criminal Justice Technology toward a BS in Criminal Justice.

To qualify for these transfer options, students must:

  • Complete an AAS in Business Administration or Criminal Justice Technology at Wake Tech,
  • Earn an overall GPA of 2.0,
  • Earn a grade of “C” or better in the transfer courses, and
  • Meet other admissions requirements.

“We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Saint Augustine’s University to offer students new opportunities,” says Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen C. Scott. “Partnerships like this one open doors and offer new pathways to higher education and brighter futures that have an impact on our entire community.”

“I’m excited about this new partnership,” said St. Aug President Dr. Dianne Boardley Suber. “Education takes a collective effort, and we welcome such partnerships with other institutions.”

The agreement with Saint Augustine’s University is the latest in a series of partnerships between Wake Tech and public and private four-year institutions. It enhances the North Carolina Community College System’s comprehensive articulation agreement.
