The Corrections/Detention Services AAS concentration prepares students, as well as corrections or detention officers, to be future leaders in jails, prisons and community corrections centers. Sworn corrections and detention officers can receive up to nine semester credit hours toward a degree.
The Public Safety Administration curriculum, in general, is designed to provide students and the technical, managerial and administrative knowledge and skills needed to enter or advance in various public safety and government organizations.
