Wake Tech is closed December 24 through January 4 for winter break and will reopen January 5. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes, which start January 7.
The Public Safety Leadership Certificate provides students with a solutions-centered approach to public safety.
Positions in public safety often involve emergency preparedness and response, as well as the coordination of resources. The goal of public safety administration and coordination is to protect citizens through the collaborative work of fire, police and emergency medical response services. Management, operations and administrative skill sets need to be coordinated in a holistic approach.
The Leadership Certificate is designed to meet the demand for leadership education at the federal, state and local government levels, as well as throughout the private sector. It is tailored toward the needs of current and future professionals and officials in a variety of public safety fields:
NOTE: Tuition listed is for in-state students. Out-of-state tuition is higher.
Tuition is set annually by the State Board of Community Colleges. Wake Tech charges various fees in addition to tuition, and individual programs also have specific costs associated with them.
