College Closed Wednesday

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, all Wake Tech campuses will be closed Wednesday. In-person classes are canceled, but online classes continue as scheduled. Students can still register for eight-week courses, and prospective students can apply online. Many Wake Tech services are available virtually. Employees who can work remotely should do so.

Plumbing AHR Certificate

Wake Tech Course ID: C35300G

The Plumbing AHR certificate is designed to give individuals the opportunity to acquire basic skills in plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration. Completion of this certificate will provide a better understanding and knowledge to assist with the installation and repairs of HVACR and plumbing systems in residential and small commercial buildings.

Course topics include HVACR electricity, HVACR maintenance, plumbing systems and refrigeration certification. Upon completion, students should qualify for employment at parts supply houses and entry-level positions with maintenance companies and plumbing contractors to assist with various HVACR and plumbing applications.
