Matt is a lifetime Triangle resident who serves as the Vice President for Development and Strategic Partnerships. His role is to cultivate private donors, corporations and foundations to support the academic initiatives of the college while directing strategy, managing the Foundation’s assets and endowments, and leading the Foundation's Board of Directors. He also oversees corporate partnerships, local/state/federal government relations, and much of the college's external engagements, as well as co-chairing Wake Tech's Economic and Employment Council.
Prior to joining Wake Tech, Matt ran business development for several large commercial contractors. His first job after graduating from North Carolina State University in 1994 was with the N.C. State Alumni Association before leading the fundraising operation for the Poole College of Management, N.C. State’s business school.
He is active in a number of civic and philanthropic activities around the Triangle, including the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Triangle YMCA Property Board of Directors, the Leadership NC Board of Directors and the Truist regional board of directors.
After 27 years in Raleigh, Matt has lived in Apex for the last 21 years with his wife and two daughters. When he is not sharing his love of Wake Tech with the community, you can find him crawling off a golf course with a terrible score or at a live music show.

Sheila is responsible for all aspects of accounting with main focuses on accounts payable and accounts receivable. She maintains communications across the college to ensure accurate Foundation fund allocations. She is a Raleigh native and moved to Fuquay-Varina in 2002. Sheila joined the Foundation in 2021 and brings more than 20 years of accounting experience. She enjoys traveling and camping with her husband, daughter, and three dogs. She also loves to entertain and host game nights with friends and family.

Sara is responsible for donor relations and communication efforts as they relate to the Foundation, such as donor recognition, gift acknowledgements, special events and projects, social media, and web content. Sara also manages the Foundation's monthly e-news and the Employee Campaign. She has been with the Foundation since August 2012 and brings more than 15 years of donor relations experience.
Sara is a proud graduate of both Appalachian State University and North Carolina State University, and she has received a Nonprofit Management Certificate from Duke University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and going on adventures both near and far.

Stephanie develops and manages the Foundation's recurring fundraising and stewardship efforts to build lasting relationships with donors and community partners. Stephanie also oversees the Foundation's privately funded grant proposals in collaboration with the college's Sponsored Programs department and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. She has been with the Foundation since April 2004 and brings more than 20 years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience.
Stephanie is president of the North Carolina Council for Resource Development, the statewide association serving community college development and grants officers. She is an ex-officio member of the North Carolina Community College System Foundation Board of Directors. Stephanie is a proud Virginia Tech Hokie and lives in Fuquay-Varina with her husband and three children.

Kim Raynor is the donor strategist for the Wake Tech Foundation. In this role, she works with donors interested in our planned giving program and key events, such as Fostering Footsteps for Bright Futures and IGNITE.
Prior to joining the Foundation staff, Kim served six years on the Wake Tech Foundation Board of Directors and worked for a staffing and recruitment company. She has more than 25 years of experience in business development and fundraising, which includes expanding business for companies and working for nonprofit organizations. Her experience includes serving as interim CEO and vice president of development of the Poe Center, serving as a founding board member of Guiding Lights, director of the Triangle Heart Walk and a board member of the Lucy Daniel Center.

Maya is responsible for overseeing data management and administering the scholarship award process for the Foundation. She has been working in nonprofit data management since 2010 and has worked in higher education, women's health and museum spheres. She joined the Foundation in 2018 and is thrilled to be working in higher education again. Maya enthusiastically cheers for her alma mater, UNC-Chapel Hill, and when she's not doing nerdy things with data or talking up the Foundation's scholarships, she can be found in Durham hanging out with her husband and her dog.

Senior Director of Development Tracy Sanders oversees and executes a comprehensive resource development program, including corporate and individual solicitations, planned/estate giving, special fundraising activities and community building events, such as Wake Tech Ignite, which is held every spring.
Tracy has more than 15 years of nonprofit development experience. She takes pride in giving back to charitable and not-for-profit organizations and currently serves on the board for Make-a-Wish Eastern NC. She has also previously served as chair of the Me Fine Foundation, which provides emotional and financial support for families of children undergoing care in North Carolina hospitals, and has served on the UNC Children's Hospital Family Advisory Board and Marbles Kids Museum Board of Directors. She has also led several programs for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations.

Meg is responsible for all Foundation accounting and finance functions, as well as investments. Licensed as a CPA in North Carolina, she brings more than 30 years of experience to the Foundation’s affairs and has been with the Foundation since April 2017. Meg lives in Raleigh, has three adult children, a grandson, and a goofy dog.
