Students who are currently enrolled in a Wake Tech course may use Tutoring and Learning Center services. Check with the specific centers for the types of courses they support.
Students who are on academic probation may sign up for the required Practicing Success workshop as part of their student success plan.
These services are free and available to Wake Tech students who are enrolled in at least one class.
As a general rule, students should have their IDs with them when on campus. As part of the login process, students will need to know their Key Account information (username and password).
We cannot guarantee that students will be able to work with the same faculty member or tutor every time they visit.
Faculty office hours are different from Tutoring and Learning Center support. Students can visit their instructors in the instructors' offices during office hours.
If a student has an online appointment and has trouble logging in to the session, the tutor will usually "call" them into the Teams session. If the student continues to have issues, the student may use the phone number in the appointment email and call into the session using a phone.
For additional assistance, students may call the Tutoring and Learning Center at 919-866-6880.
If you need additional tutoring support when the Tutoring and Learning Center is closed, you can access free tutoring through ThinkingStorm. This service is provided for limited subjects by Wake Tech but not staffed by Wake Tech tutors.
