“The Nest” Food Pantry

The Nest Food Pantry opened in 2014 to assist Wake Tech students impacted by food insecurity and hunger.  Food Insecurity - Limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods, or limited or uncertain ability to acquire foods in socially acceptable ways.  This is a condition that results from lack of money and other resources for food. Hunger - An individual-level, physiological condition that may result from food insecurity...The potential consequence of prolonged, involuntary lack of food, resulting in discomfort, illness, weakness, or pain that goes beyond the usual uneasy sensation. –(USDA)

We are not accepting perishable or non-perishable goods at our on-campus pantry locations at this time. Monetary donations can be made to the Wake Tech Foundation Office.
