Wake Tech is proud to have a large number of military members, veterans and their families as students. A Veterans Priority Registration (VPR) system has been established to allow veteran students using GI Bill® benefits to register for courses before the general registration period opens.
The following groups are eligible for VPR:
Tuition will be deferred for Post 9/11 (Chapter 33) and Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31) benefit recipient until the VA makes payment. All other students must comply with scheduled payment deadlines.
VPR dates and times are published in Self-Service in advance of registration each semester. Students who qualify for VPR but are given a different registration date and time should contact Military & Veteran Services at [email protected] or 919-866-5099.
All service members, veterans and qualified family members using GI Bill® benefits are encouraged to take advantage of this early registration opportunity. Students with VPR who fail to register during the priority period must register during general registration. If classes are full, students may select others or be placed on waitlists.
Military and veteran students at Wake Tech are placed with academic advisors committed to providing quality service in an environment that is welcoming, inclusive and supportive. In addition, academic advisors are informed, aware and helpful on issues that may affect military and veteran students throughout their entire degree program.
