The college is closed December 21 through January 1 for winter break and will reopen January 2. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes.
Beyond the Basics courses help advanced, non-native-English speakers fill in the missing skills they need to communicate in English with efficiency and precision. Most students taking Beyond the Basics classes are using English every day for work or school and find that they would like to get some additional instruction and practice with a specific language skill.
Most Beyond the Basics classes meet once a week for eight weeks, and classes are usually offered in the evenings.
All course instructors have training and credentials for teaching English to speakers of other languages.
