Due to the forecast of inclement weather, all Wake Tech campuses will be closed Wednesday. In-person classes are canceled, but online classes continue as scheduled. Students can still register for eight-week courses, and prospective students can apply online. Many Wake Tech services are available virtually. Employees who can work remotely should do so.
The Hardware Support and Repair Certificate is designed for individuals interested in acquiring advanced technical skills and knowledge to maintain and repair personal computers. Major hands-on topics include documentation, troubleshooting techniques, PC architectures, disk drives and peripheral cards, memory management, and communications devices.
Students gain skills in buying parts, upgrading, building, and configuring personal computers.
This certificate is designed to prepare the student for A+ certification. A program prerequisite of CTI-120 is required.
