College Closed Due To Weather

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, all Wake Tech campuses closed at 2 p.m. Friday and will be closed all day Saturday. In-person classes are canceled, but online classes continue as scheduled. Students needing assistance can check out the Virtual Support Center.

The Graphic Design curriculum provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment in the graphic design profession and uses industry-standard tools to emphasize the following:

  • Design
  • Advertising
  • Print production
  • Web design
  • Social media
  • Multimedia
  • Video editing

Students will be trained in the development and design of promotional materials:

  • Newspaper and magazine advertisements
  • Posters
  • Folders
  • Letterheads
  • Logos
  • Brochures
  • Booklets
  • Preparation of art for printing, lettering and typography
  • Electronic media

Students will also become familiar with designing and maintaining simple websites using industry best practices.
