Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting Boot Camp

If you're exploring the dental field, the Boot Camp taught by Wake Tech faculty and students is the perfect opportunity to have a one-day, hands-on experience with the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene professions.

  • Learn the differences between the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene
  • Discover what it takes to be successful in school and the profession after graduation
  • Speak with current students about the programs
  • Rotate through stations with hands-on activities experiencing various topics:
    • Infection control
    • Vital signs (blood pressure)
    • X-rays
    • Polishing
    • Sealants
    • Impressions
    • Instrumentation on a manikin
    • Ultrasonic scaling
    • Observe demonstrations on local anesthesia

Attendees must be at least 18 years old. The course has been designed for 20 to 30 participants, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
