College Closed Due To Weather

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, all Wake Tech campuses closed at 2 p.m. Friday and will be closed all day Saturday. In-person classes are canceled, but online classes continue as scheduled. Students needing assistance can check out the Virtual Support Center.

Renewable Energy Certificate

Wake Tech Course ID: C35130E

The Renewable Energy Certificate provides knowledge of alternative and renewable energy that will not only help the environment, but also can provide power for entire communities, countries and even the world.

This certificate is the third tier in understanding the National Electric Code. The focus of the certificate is hands-on photovoltaic systems training and how the systems can be applied to harness the energy from the sun in accordance with North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners standards.

NOTE: Students must complete the Residential Wiring and Commercial Wiring certificates before starting this certificate.
