If you're interested in working in child care, a variety of early childhood education options are available. You can pursue short-term training and certification for employment or work toward a diploma or associate degree.
If you want to become a licensed teacher, the following degree programs offer students opportunities to transfer to a four-year institution to earn a bachelor's degree with teacher licensure:
Wake Tech also offers an Educator Preparation Program (EPP) for people who have a bachelor's degree and are teaching in a public school classroom in North Carolina but still need to obtain a teaching license from the state. The EPP can be completed online or in person in at little as 18 months.
