The training academy includes the following facilities to take your training to the next level:
The Public Safety Training Academy consistently strives to provide state-of-the-art training to students and personnel of member jurisdictions. Every effort is made to ensure the training is legally viable and that the content follows currently accepted practices and procedures of the judicial system and the law enforcement community.
To provide a solid foundation for students to build their law enforcement careers, the Academy employs skilled and knowledgeable instructors and emphasizes ethics and leadership principles. All programs are presented with the highest degree of integrity, competence, quality and professionalism. The goal is to exceed the public's trust and expectations by upholding the values of character, accountability, cooperation and excellence.
CALEA® accreditation strengthens the academy's accountability through a continuum of standards that clearly define authority, performance and responsibilities. CALEA® maintains a public feedback portal for members of the community to submit comments, commendations and other information. These comments can be in reference to an agency's compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services and overall candidacy for accredited status.
