The Finish Line Grant awards $1,000 that can be used for tuition, child care, medical or other financial emergencies, including the following:

• Rental assistance
• Auto repairs
• Utility bill (water, gas or electric)
• Purchase of course materials (i.e. books or software)
• Internet services

Finish Line Grants cannot be used to pay for the following:

• Deposits on housing, mortgage payments or property taxes
• Vehicle purchase
• Business start-up costs
• Tickets, fines or other court-related expenses
• Pet expenses

The grants provide up to $1,000 per semester for students who meet the following requirements:

• Enrolled in an eligible Workforce Continuing Education course leading to an industry-recognized credential
• Completed (or are enrolled in) at least 50% of your primary course of study
• Good academic standing as outlined by Wake Tech policies
• Have a Social Security card
