The college is closed December 21 through January 1 for winter break and will reopen January 2. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes.
Learn a variety of skills for a role as an income maintenance caseworker for the North Carolina Division of Social Services (DSS), determining eligibility for services. These intensive, hands-on, interactive courses provide an overview of DSS and the NCFAST data-entry system and build data entry, keyboarding, interviewing, workplace success and customer service skills.
Each class should be registered for separately:
Successfully completing HRD-4000A2 is required to register for HSE-3220A3.
Become proficient using the NCFAST application and build skills in communication, interviewing, time management, and gathering, compiling and analyzing data.
The courses are the first of a two-part training program that can serve as a pathway to further training. DSS partnered with the Capital Area Workforce Development Board to offer this opportunity.
