Complete Your High School Credential

Need to finish your high school credential? Wake Tech can help you earn your Adult High School diploma, prepare for a high school equivalency test (GED® or HiSET®) and transition into post-secondary education and/or employment.

To take Adult Basic Education and High School Equivalency classes, you must attend an information session. Information sessions seats will be available until all sessions are filled. Children are not allowed at information sessions.

New information session sign-ups will be released in mid-June.

Adult Basic Education

Adult Basic Education (ABE) provides academic instruction in reading, writing, math and technology, with a focus on college and career readiness skills. Wake Tech offers classes at several locations throughout Wake County, with many learning options, including morning, afternoon and evening classes.

  • Build foundational skills in reading, writing, math and technology for further educational and employment opportunities.
    **Available to individuals with or without a high school diploma.**
     
  • Classes designed for the needs of the adult learner.
     
  • Begin building background knowledge for passing the high school equivalency test
     
  • Explore career pathways through enrollment in an ABE class + Workforce Continuing Education class at the same time.
