Testing Center

The Testing Center at the Beltline Education Center is dedicated to supporting students and the community with their testing and assessment needs. The center provides a variety of tests, including placement exams, high school equivalency exams, professional licensing exams and IT exams:

• Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE)
   
• English as a Second Language (TABE Clas-E)
   
• High school equivalency (GED^® or HiSET^®)
   
• Pearson VUE

The center promotes a quiet, distraction-free environment conducive to a high-quality testing experience.

Regulations

Identification
Valid government-issued photo identification is required for admission into the Testing Center. Examples of approved IDs are a current driver's license, passport, military ID card or matricular consular card. The Testing Center does not accept paper renewal slips from the Division of Motor Vehicles. Please wait until you receive the hard copy ID before scheduling an appointment.

Cellphones
Cellphones must be turned off and stored away. The use of phones once testing starts will result in an immediate termination of the exam.

Personal items
Hats, watches, Google glasses and similar items are prohibited during testing because they can conceal test materials and reduce the security of the examination.
All test takers are required to use Testing Center-issued lockers to store personal belongings during their exam(s). Alternatively, you may leave your items in your vehicle. The Testing Center is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced items. 

Questions and concerns
Talking during testing is prohibited, but if you encounter technical issues or require assistance during testing, please seek help from the test administrator.
