Available Workshops and Short Courses

Wake Tech Career Services offers an array of workshops and short courses that provide employability skills training and assistance for anyone trying to find a job, transition back into the workforce or redefine their professional niche in a changing global market. The courses are designed to address current needs and trends, with subjects such as:

  • Career exploration
  • Resume and cover letter writing
  • Interview skill-building
  • LinkedIn assistance
  • Job search strategies

The courses are often free, as the fees are waived for any North Carolina resident age 18 or older who meets any of these conditions:

  • Unemployed
  • Underemployed
  • Facing a layoff
  • Eligible for the federal Earned Income Tax Credit
  • Earning wages at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines
