Campuses Closed Friday Due to Weather

Wake Tech campuses are closed Friday due to the severe weather forecast from Hurricane Helene. In-person classes are canceled, but online classes continue as scheduled. Many Wake Tech services, including Admissions and Advising, are available virtually. Wake Tech employees who can work remotely should do so.

Wake Tech offers defensive driving classes in Raleigh. These classes, also known as "safe-driving classes," may be court-ordered following a driving offense.

Two courses are offered, each of which is four hours. They cover safety before, during and after driving a vehicle, as well as risk management and modifying behaviors that could lead to unsafe driving.

If you must complete four hours of instruction, register for the first course only. If you must complete eight hours of instruction, register for both courses.
