College Closed Due To Weather

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, all Wake Tech campuses closed at 2 p.m. Friday and will be closed all day Saturday. In-person classes are canceled, but online classes continue as scheduled. Students needing assistance can check out the Virtual Support Center.

Décor Focus Interior Design Certificate

This certificate introduces students to history, furniture and styles of design ranging from Ancient Egypt to the present day. It provides an introduction to the principles and elements of design as they relate to interiors. Typical products, materials, textiles and lighting as they apply to interior spaces are also examined.

Overall, the Interior Design program prepares students for careers in both residential and non-residential interior design. The focus of the program is on technical knowledge, professional practices and aesthetic principles.
