College to Participate in FAFSA Day

RALEIGH, N.C. (October 18, 2021) –  Need help paying for college? The first step is to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Wake Tech is here to help!

Wake Tech is one of more than 25 colleges and universities participating in North Carolina’s Drive-In FAFSA Day on Saturday, Oct. 23.

Financial aid staff will be available from 9 a.m. – noon at Southern Wake Campus to assist any student who needs FAFSA assistance from the safety of their vehicle. Advance registration is encouraged so that financial aid staff are better prepared to assist. Students should look for signs near Buildings A and L directing them to check-in to the registration area. They will then be directed to a parking spot where staff will help them complete their FAFSA.

A few tips to help students and parents come prepared for the event:

  • Bring a charged laptop or mobile device to work on your FAFSA application.
  • If you’re using a mobile device, download the myStudentAid app (Apple or Android).
  • If you’ve already started your FAFSA, be sure to have your FSA user ID and passwords with you.
  • Bring 2020 tax returns for yourself and your parents if you’re applying for 2022-23 and 2019 tax returns if you’re applying for the 2022 spring semester.
