The college is closed December 21 through January 1 for winter break and will reopen January 2. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes.
A graphic designer communicates ideas and information through visuals concepts. Primarily using industry standard design software, they create compelling visuals that inspire, engage, motivate, and captivate specific target audiences.

Every student who graduates with an AAS degree in Graphic Design takes with them their own professional portfolio of work. Developing a high-quality professional portfolio, similar to this example, is essential to being successful in finding employment as a graphic designer.

There also may be opportunities for graduates to seek part-time work or contract work as freelance designers.
Graphic Design graduates can transfer to Montreat College, Elizabeth City State University and Queens University in Charlotte to complete the last two years to earn a bachelor's degree.
