CAR-3118A7 General Contractor (Building Classification) Exam Prep

This course prepares participants for the North Carolina General Contractor’s License Exam (administered by the North Carolina Licensing Board of General Contractors) for the general building classification. It is a review of laws, codes, and procedures covered on the exam for this classification, including but not limited to commercial, industrial, institutional, and all residential building construction. The general building classification also covers parking decks and lots, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, and all site work ancillary to these types of construction; as well as specialty work, including concrete, masonry, metal, insulation, roofing, interiors, and pools. The course includes blueprint reading, cost estimation, quantity take-off, OSHA, NC Building Code, and construction management.
