Wake Tech Welcomes New Leader for Health Sciences

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 21, 2015) - Dr. Molly Curry, an experienced nurse and administrator, joins Wake Tech as Dean of the Perry Health Sciences Campus and Chief Campus Officer. Dr. Curry will oversee operations for health sciences programs, ensuring that they meet institutional goals, comply with accreditation standards, use facilities and resources efficiently, and satisfy safety regulations.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the Wake Tech community,” Curry says. “I am a graduate of the NC Community College System myself. I believe in the programs and opportunities offered to students in the area of health care careers at Wake Tech. The Perry Health Sciences campus is one of our community’s greatest assets.”
Dr. Curry has more than 19 years of experience in healthcare and higher education. She is an experienced critical care nurse, nurse manager, nurse educator, and higher education administrator. Her most recent appointment was at William Peace University, where she served as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. Before moving to Raleigh, Curry served as Chair of the RN-BSN program at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in Concord, NC.
Dr. Curry earned an AAS in Nursing from Wilkes Community College; a BSN from George Mason University; a Master of Science in Nursing, focused on Health Systems Management, from Queens University; and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Carolina, with a focus on organizational leadership.
