Accreditation Assessment Team Invites Public Comment
RALEIGH, N.C. (July 8, 2015) - A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®), will arrive at the Wake Tech Community College Public Safety Education Campus on Monday, July 20, 2015 to examine all aspects of the Wake Tech Public Safety Training Academy’s administration, policy and procedures, instructional systems, program development, training support and student welfare, Public Safety Training Academy Director Angela J. Mizelle announced today.
“Verification by the team that Wake Tech Community College’s Public Safety Training Academy meets the Commission’s state-of-the-art standards is part of a voluntary process to gain accreditation,” said Mizelle. “It’s a highly prized recognition of public safety training professional excellence.”
As part of the on-site assessment, agency personnel, client agencies and members of the community are invited to offer comments during a public call-in to the Assessment Team on Wednesday, July 22 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. The number is 919-866-6105.
