Wake Tech to Offer Two New Criminal Justice Certificates
RALEIGH, N.C. (July 20, 2015) - Students interested in a career in Criminal Justice have two new opportunities to get started. Wake Technical Community College is offering two new certificates that could lead to employment or further studies toward an associate’s degree. The Homeland Security certificate provides an introduction to the threats posed by domestic and international terrorism, as well as strategies for countering those threats. The Intelligence Analysis certificate focuses on research, tapping into sources of intelligence, performing and interpreting analysis, working with technology, planning and communicating.
Both certificates are offered at Wake Tech’s Northern Wake Campus and online. They can be completed in two semesters. Potential job opportunities include TSA Screener, Risk Management Specialist, Transportation Security Officer and Police Analyst.
