Wake Tech Hosts "Plus 50" Spring Summit In Cary
RALEIGH, N.C. (March 23, 2016) - More than 200 people attended Wake Tech’s Plus 50 Spring Summit today at the Western Wake Campus in Cary. The free event – open to all but designed especially for those age 50 and over – featured a robust agenda of workshops on career opportunities for older adults, social security, financial planning, and healthy aging – as well as previews of non-credit classes offered through Wake Tech’s Workforce Continuing Education Division.
The event was a smaller version of the popular Plus 50 Expo, which has taken place in the fall at Wake Tech’s Northern Wake Campus for the past two years. Vendors were on site to offer a variety of services for seniors. Sponsors included Career Step Online Education and Training Solutions, AARP, Community Care of North Carolina, and Virginia Asset Management.
