Due to the forecast of inclement weather, all Wake Tech campuses closed at 2 p.m. Friday and will be closed all day Saturday. In-person classes are canceled, but online classes continue as scheduled. Students needing assistance can check out the Virtual Support Center.
The Associate in Science (AS) degree is designed for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in areas of study such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, the sciences or professional programs that require strong mathematics and science backgrounds.
All associate degree programs are part of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA), which facilitates the transfer of students between institutions in the North Carolina Community College System and the University of North Carolina system.
The CAA enables Wake Tech graduates with Associate in Science degrees who are admitted to UNC institutions to transfer with up to 64 credits, which could confer junior status. The CAA is also endorsed by many independent colleges and universities. However, the CAA does not guarantee admission to a specific university or program.
