The college is closed December 21 through January 1 for winter break and will reopen January 2. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes.

Barbara Warner is an instructor for the Digital Forensics and Ethical Hacking classes taught as part of the Cybersecurity program at Wake Tech. She came to Wake Tech after concluding her career at IBM, where she last served as the vice president of global cybersecurity. Her responsibilities at IBM included overseeing the development and deployment of cybersecurity initiatives aimed at protecting the IBM Services Division and its clients. She was also a member of the IBM core team that worked with federal banking regulators throughout IBM examinations.
At Wake Tech, she has been responsible for building the digital forensics courses, assisting in the design of the RTP Campus forensics lab and developing the Ethical Hacking curriculum of study.
Warner holds a bachelor's degree from Cornell University and a master's certificate from George Washington University. She is certified with CompTIA in Security+ and is a Certified Computer Forensic Examiner. She is a Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute since 2000.
