Activate Workforce Continuing Education Key Account

Collect the following items – check them off as you gather the information – to activate your account:

   Your Wake Tech ID number

  • It is located at the bottom of the receipt you received after registering for your course.
  • If your course is fee-waived and you did not receive a receipt, the instructor or department representative will email your ID number.
  • If we have your Social Security number in our student information, you may retrieve your ID through WebAdvisor.
  • Contact the Help Desk at [email protected].

   Your user ID (username)

  • Your user ID is your first initial, middle initial and last name. You may have a number at the end if more than one person has the same initials and last name. Students with two last names will include both last names without a hyphen in the ID.
  • It is located at the bottom of the receipt you received after registering for your course.
  • If your course is fee-waived and you did not receive a receipt, the instructor or department representative will email your ID username.

   Your birth date

  • Enter your birth date in mm/dd/yyyy (four digits for the year) format.
    Example: If you were born on January 2, 2002, you would enter 01/02/2002.

   Your first and last name

  • Your full, legal first and last name. If you have two last names, enter them both.

   A strong password you can remember

  • Must be at least 14 characters in length
  • Cannot contain your account name or parts of your full name that exceed two consecutive characters
  • Contains characters from three of the following four categories:
    • English uppercase characters (A-Z)
    • English lowercase characters (a-z)
    • Base 10 digits (0-9)
    • Non-alphabetic characters: for example  @  #  %  :  -
    • Cannot contain the characters: !  &  { }  ~  "  `  '  < >  +  =  [  ] * $
  • You will be required to change your password every 120 days.

Once you have this information, you are ready to activate your account.

NOTE: Upon 18 consecutive months of student inactivity, the student's Wake Tech email account will be removed. Once your Wake Tech email account has been removed, the student will no longer have access to the account.
