Personal Care Aide is a uniform pre-nurse aide training program developed to cover essential soft-skills, basic home management and personal care skills. Students will be trained to understand the skills necessary for home management and personal care tasks and be able to provide personal care to clients with limited assistance in home care and in other settings where the Nurse Aide I listing is not required. This course creates a strong foundation for a successful transition into the Direct Care industry or Nurse Aide I and II training (Certified Nurse Aide). This curriculum is part of the Personal and Home Care Aide State Training (PHCAST).
