Wake Tech Geology Club
The mission of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG) Wake Tech Student Chapter (Geology Club) is for members to engage in extracurricular geological-related activities, such as visits to points of geological significance and attendance at professional seminars, tours, meetings and lectures, to foster a means of support and interaction amongst students interested in geology and to engage in community service. The chapter was approved in May 2015 as the first AEG student chapter at a community college.
Membership is open to any Wake Tech student in good academic standing, as well as staff and faculty of the college. Members shall be required to participate in club functions to maintain membership. Students are expected to join the AEG professional organization within two months of beginning active participation in the club; student membership in AEG is free.
