Admissions
These steps are part of the Wake Tech admissions process:
- Completing a Wake Tech application online
- Determining residency
- Submitting all transcripts (high school and any colleges attended)
- Placement testing, if necessary
- New Student Orientation, in person or online
- Completing a financial aid application or contacting Disability Support Services, the Career Resources Center or Veterans’ Services, as appropriate
New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation includes the following:
- Seeing an academic advisor
- Completing an assessment in Blackboard
- Completing registration in Self-Service
- Obtaining an ID and vehicle decal
- Signing up for the Wake Tech WARN emergency notification system
- Paying tuition and fees by the due date
- Purchasing books and supplies
- Getting instructions and directions for the first day of class
