Admissions

These steps are part of the Wake Tech admissions process:

  • Completing a Wake Tech application online
  • Determining residency
  • Submitting all transcripts (high school and any colleges attended)
  • Placement testing, if necessary
  • New Student Orientation, in person or online
  • Completing a financial aid application or contacting Disability Support Services, the Career Resources Center or Veterans’ Services, as appropriate

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation includes the following:

  • Seeing an academic advisor
  • Completing an assessment in Blackboard
  • Completing registration in Self-Service
  • Obtaining an ID and vehicle decal
  • Signing up for the Wake Tech WARN emergency notification system
  • Paying tuition and fees by the due date
  • Purchasing books and supplies
  • Getting instructions and directions for the first day of class
