ID Badges and Parking Decals

Temporary locations to get IDs and parking decals

The following sites have been set up for students to get photo IDs and parking decals for the Spring semester:

  • Southern Wake Campus, Building L, Room 206
  • Scott Northern Wake Campus, Building E, Room 314

The temporary locations are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through January 17. The ID office on Perry Health Sciences Campus also will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until January 17. All other offices operate according to the schedule below.

  • All curriculum Wake Tech students must have an official, college-issued ID badge.
  • Veteran student ID badges are available
Campus vehicle registration

Follow these steps to get an ID badge or parking decal:

  1. Complete registration
  2. Pay tuition
  3. Present photo identification (driver's license, passport, military ID, etc.) at one of the offices listed below.
  4. Download, complete and print the vehicle registration form.
  • Students are required to have their vehicle registration cards with them to obtain a Wake Tech parking decal.
  • Gate cards may be obtained at the Perry Health Sciences Campus only.

The following campus services require an ID badge for access and/or use:

  • Tutoring and Learning Center
  • Campus libraries
  • Book purchases with financial aid
  • Challenge exams
  • eLearning Testing Center
  • Wake Tech bus service
  • Student Center
  • Supplemental testing
  • Open computer labs
  • Wake Tech equipment and resources

Also, the North Carolina State Board of Elections has approved the use of Wake Tech student ID badges for voting under the state's voter ID law. Students will be able to show their Wake Tech ID at the polls.
