Wake Tech's Spring graduation ceremonies are set for 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends unable to attend in person can watch the ceremonies live online.
The Adult High School and High School Equivalency programs will hold their graduation ceremony at 8 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends can watch it live online as well.
The Pharmacy Technology Diploma prepares students to work as pharmacy technicians, who assist assist licensed pharmacists in providing customers prescription and over-the-counter medications, medical equipment and supplies and other health care products and services.
The curriculum includes classroom, laboratory and clinical components. Classroom instruction is coordinated with laboratory activities and clinical experiences to provide a broad knowledge of the following:
Graduates may be employed in hospitals, medical centers, private and chain pharmacies and specialty pharmacies, including medication compounding, long-term care medication therapy management and IV infusion pharmacies. Graduates should be prepared to take the national Certification Examination administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
