Wake Tech Foundation Welcomes New Staff Member

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 24, 2013) - The Wake Tech Community College Foundation is pleased to welcome local community leader Jennifer Bryan as the newest member of its staff. Bryan joins the Foundation as Director of Strategic Partnerships. She will develop major gifts for the college and work with members of the advisory committees that guide college programs.

Bryan most recently served as Executive Director of the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce, a position she held for 18 years.  Bryan serves on the Duke Raleigh Hospital Advisory Board, the Knightdale Education Committee of 100, the Knightdale Branding Committee and Knightdale Park Sponsorship Committee, among other organizations.

Bryan received the Best Civic Leader Award from the Eastern Wake News in 2003 and 2004. She was also awarded IOM graduate recognition for having completed a four-year comprehensive course of study in nonprofit management through the US Chamber’s Institute for Organization Management.

Bryan and her husband, Joe Bryan, currently in his third term as a Wake County Commissioner, live in Knightdale.

The Wake Tech Foundation partners with corporations, foundations and individuals to raise resources to support Wake Tech Community College’s institutional and instructional needs. The Foundation manages an array of resources that are critical to Wake Tech’s success – corporate investments, foundation grants, alumni and employee contributions, and financial and in-kind support from many other friends of the college. These resources allow Wake Tech to meet instructional and institutional needs and continue to offer top-quality, affordable education and training to the Wake County region.
