Open House Attracts Potential Students

RALEIGH, N.C. (October 14, 2024) – More than 700 prospective students and their families got to know Wake Tech during Open House on Saturday.

Held at the Southern Wake Campus, prospective students explored the college's academic programs and learned about the admissions process, financial aid options and student support resources. They also toured campus with student leaders and saw classrooms and specialized training labs for culinary, cosmetology, esthetics and fine arts programs. Faculty and staff were on site to share information and answer questions.

New students can apply for admission anytime at apply.waketech.edu. Once admitted, they can register for Spring semester classes, beginning November 13.

If you weren't able to attend the Open House, you can still take an in-person or virtual tour or attend an information session. Learn more at visit.waketech.edu.

In addition to degree programs, Wake Tech offers non-degree, accelerated training to prepare students with skills to immediately enter the workforce. The college is offering an opportunity to learn about these programs during a Virtual Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. on October 23.

Wake Tech is North Carolina's largest community college, serving nearly 72,000 adults annually. All Wake Tech programs, even those traditionally designed to prepare students for immediate employment, offer opportunities to transfer to a university for further study.
