RALEIGH, N.C. (June 27, 2024) – Newly admitted students have a convenient enrollment resource thanks to the One-Stop Registration Center now open at Southern Wake Campus.

Located in the lobby of Building L, Enrollment Services staff and student workers are eager and ready to help new students complete their Fall semester enrollment steps and get set for the first day of classes.

At the One-Stop Registration Center, new students can get guidance about course selection and register for classes. Student workers are also there to share important information about applying for financial aid, paying tuition, signing up for New Student Orientation and completing the required eLearning Intro online readiness assessment. They can also help new students locate support resources on campus, like the bookstore and library.

Gustavo Garcia, a student ambassador studying Dental Hygiene, said working at the One-Stop Registration Center is a rewarding experience. In addition to helping new students with administrative processes, he said, he also enjoys educating them about student life and leadership options to help them acclimate to college and meet friends.

"New students feel comfortable speaking to us because we are their peers, and they open up really quickly," Garcia said. "We get to break everything down for them and guide them based on our experiences as a student, and they are very appreciative of that.

"I worked here last year, and it was really fun to see the students I helped in class," he added. "They'd come up to me and remember that I helped them register for classes, and we chatted about how things were going for them. Knowing that I helped them makes it rewarding."

The One-Stop Registration Center is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., through August 2.
