College to Host Job Fair June 11
RALEIGH, N.C. (May 30, 2024) – Wake Tech, the state's largest community college, is recruiting part-time faculty and staff for a variety of academic programs and departments to support the college's enrollment growth.
The college is hosting a job fair on June 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Conference Center in Building L on the Southern Wake Campus.
Wake Tech needs part-time faculty in numerous program areas, such as math, science and liberal arts, including English, communications, fine arts and foreign languages. The college is also recruiting adjunct faculty for criminal justice and public safety programs, engineering, skilled trades, business administration, accounting, early childhood education, transportation and heavy equipment technology, information technology and health sciences. There are also openings in non-degree areas, such as English as a Second Language (ESL) and adult basic education.
Wake Tech is also seeking part-time staff for test proctors and computer lab monitors.
Hiring managers will meet with candidates, review resumes and conduct initial interviews. Computers will be available for job seekers to apply for employment and upload resumes for consideration for future vacancies.
Wake Tech's Career Services staff will be on hand to provide job-search readiness assistance, including career exploration, resume and cover letter writing, interview skill-building and job search strategies.
Representatives with the nonprofit Dress for Success Triangle will have their Mobile Boutique at the event. Women who attend the job fair will have the opportunity to pick out the perfect interview outfit free of charge.
Wake Tech serves more than 64,000 adults annually and offers more than 250 associate degree, diploma and certificate programs that prepare students for university transfer or immediate employment. The college's newest location, Wake Tech East in Wendell, is open and will be serving its first students in fall 2024.
