One-Stop Center Makes Registration Easy
RALEIGH, N.C. (July 17, 2023) – Students can start and finish their Fall semester registration all in one convenient place thanks to the college's One-Stop Center at Southern Wake Campus.
Enrollment Services staff and student workers are busy this summer making the enrollment process as smooth as possible and getting students set for the first day of classes.
"We've found that students don't always complete the registration process or register in a timely manner, so this is an opportunity for the college to offer a warm hand-off from their advisor to a Student Services support staff member to help them finish the process and make it as seamless as possible," said John Saparilas, associate vice president of Enrollment Services.
At the One-Stop Center, students can:
- Get assistance with course selection
- Register for classes in Self-Service
- Discuss how to apply for financial aid
- Learn how to pay their tuition or enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan
- Sign up for New Student Orientation
- Learn about the required eLearning Intro online readiness assessment
- Get help locating class buildings and key resources on campus like the bookstore and library
Jaden Crudup said the One-Stop Center made finishing his enrollment simple. "This was so easy," Crudup said. "After I met with my advisor, I came right out here to the One-Stop and registered for classes. It was also cool being able to talk to the students working. They know a lot about each class and the instructors, and that was very helpful."
The One-Stop Registration Center is in the lobby of Building L. Students can drop in anytime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday until August 15. Students served there are also entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card to Barnes & Noble.
