The college is closed December 21 through January 1 for winter break and will reopen January 2. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes.
The Mechanical Engineering Technology curriculum provides a broad and diverse educational experience. It enables students to pursue careers in the following fields:
The Mechanical Engineering Technology Mechatronics Concentration curriculum provides a broad and diverse educational experience, with an emphasis on courses related to the mechatronics field.
The Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma program includes course work in the following:
The Electromechanical Analysis certificate program includes coursework in mechanical analysis, mechatronics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and fluid power in automation.
The Mechanical Analysis and Design certificate program includes coursework in mechanical analysis (statics), programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and fluid power in automation. Students will then apply the knowledge gained from this coursework in a capstone design project course.
This certificate program builds on the Mechanical Analysis and Design Certificate and includes coursework in engineering materials, strength of materials, safety and solid modeling, using SolidWorks software.
The Mechanical Design certificate program introduces students to computer-aided drafting and design (CAD) and solid modeling. Students will also explore the design of mechanisms using CAD and solid modeling. Coursework includes computer-aided drafting and design (using AutoCAD), solid modeling (using SolidWorks) and mechanisms.
The Mechanical Design certificate program cannot be completed in a single semester because students must complete a two-course sequence in computer-aided drafting and design.
The Mechanical Technologies Certificate will provide students with an understanding of engineering materials, processes mechanisms and environmental, health and safety concepts.
The Mechatronics Certificate provides an overview of the technology used in the field of mechatronics.
