A student wishing to enroll in the Mechanical Engineering Technology curriculum must meet the following standards:
Have sufficient visual capacity to read prints, schematics, documents, charts and information on computer monitors
Be able to communicate with co-workers
Be able to wear hard hats, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and other safety-related equipment as required by industry
Due to the diversity of jobs in this field, there may be additional requirements mandated by an individual company. But these will not necessarily be consistent with the profession as a whole.
