The Automotive Brakes and Suspension Certificate is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the area of automotive brakes, suspension and steering. This course covers principles of operation, types and diagnosis/repair of brakes, suspension and steering systems.
Topics include steering systems, suspension systems, wheel alignment, tire service, brake systems, ABS and other related topics.
Upon completion, students should be able to service and repair various steering and suspension components, check and adjust alignment angles and service and repair various brake systems.
